Under the guidance and direction of the Sr. Specialist, perform the administration of compensation and benefits program of HFHI covering different labor contexts in the Asia Pacific region. Ensure that policies and practices are consistent with the local labor law and HFHI standards.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure submission and completion of new hire paperwork including enrollment of new staff in the HFHI benefts program and statutory benefits and local taxation.
- Prepare and submit personnel action form for any new staff or current staff movement or changes.
- Maintain and safekeep employee personal files.
- Adminster LH and GA benefits. Provide helpdesk support to staff.
- Prepare monthly payroll and annual tax compliance of assigned country.
- Ensure that all staff have proper documentation and valid contract at all times. Initiate confirmation of regular employment, renewal or termination of contract process.
- Facilitate the application and renewal of GA work permit/visa including dependents.
- Conduct HR orientation to new employees and volunteers when necessary.
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Science or Business Administration
Skills/Experience:
- 3-5 years
- Experience in the HR department
- Knowledge of the Philippine labor law
- Working knowledge of Philippine statutory benefits and administration
- Highly adaptable with strong collaborative skills
- Excellent organization skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to keep confidential information Demonstrate ability to handle competing priorities and multiple tasks Strong written and oral English language skills
- Strong service orientation - provide consistent and reliable service making every effort to meet and exceed requirements and strive for excellent, value-added service in all areas of administrative support.
- Strong mission orientation – professionalism in word and deed in keeping with the executive office of a Christian ministry such as Habitat for Humanity
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with people from different walks of life Excellent computer skills (internet, MSoffice, email etc.) and experience in managing database
- Highly adaptable with strong collaborative skill
Preferred:
- Experience in compensation and benefits administration
