Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Finance Manager - Special Projects. Reporting to the Manager – Systems and IT, the Finance Manager – Special Projects is responsible for process improvement, project coordination and consultative oversight to HFH programs in Asia-Pacific including financial analysis and monitoring. This position will be based in HFHI's administrative headquarters in Manila, Philippines. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Process and Control Standardization:

  • Develop standard processes, guidelines, and setup required by the assigned projects (including but not limited to work flow, reports and business rules)

Project Preparation –Assessment:

  • Analyze current procedures, reports and capacity of user groups
  • Gather and document requirements and resource needs
  • Provide the recommendations related to implementation of the related projects
  • Support Project Manager/s in setup, testing and rollout of projects

Project Management:

  • Coordinate with and communicate to Project Sponsor, Project Manager and key stakeholders as necessary
  • Track and report project milestones to Project Manager
  • Resolve issues and solve problems in the responsible areas throughout the project cycle
  • Perform any tasks as assigned by the Project Manager

User Training:

  • Prepare manuals and training materials for the projects
  • Conduct the necessary training to respective user groups

Global Work Groups:

  • Participates in global work groups focused on business processes and the assigned projects
Educational Background: 
Masters degree or the equivalent in business, economics or finance
Skills/Experience: 
  • CPA or other accounting and finance certification preferred
  • 6-10 years experience in financial management
  • Experience in project management, documentation, implementation and training
  • Three years experience with HFH affiliates/national organizations (preferred)
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and provide advise on strategic planning, organizational development, and program implementation
  • Ability to develop and nurture networking relationships with the leading international finance and development entities
  • Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate virtual (global) project teams
  • Written and spoken fluency in English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate Habitat’s Christian philosophy and principles.
  • Utilize appropriate computer programs (ie. Microsoft Office, databases)
  • Willing to travel at least 30% of the time
