Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Coordinator, Habitat for Humanity Young Leaders Build (HYLB) , Leadership Academy. The HYLB Leadership Academy Coordinator is responsible for the overall as well as the day-to-day coordination and communication between the Asia-Pacific Area Office and national organizations in all aspects of Leadership Academy strategy and program implementation.

This individual will be working closely with the Asia Pacific (AP) Learning & Organizational Development (LOD) Manager, the HYLB campaign Area-Manager, the AP HYLB Regional Coordinator, the CCL team, National Organization HYLB staff, and other area office staff based in Manila/Hong Kong/Singapore. This person will train and support the training of Country Master Trainers and country HYLB Leadership Academy Coordinators.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Coordinate HYLB Leadership Academy Regional Team Activities:

  • Plan and lead team meetings (country and regional meetings)
  • Ensure a centralized calendar of Leadership Academy Trainings
  • Facilitate Leadership Academy evaluation, progress reports, and the annual training report
  • Help identify regional partners and donors 

Facilitate the training of trainers as a Regional Master Trainer:

  • Train other Regional Master Trainers, Country Master Trainers, and support the training of Country Trainers
  • Strategize regional training program target and roll-out plans

Support National Organization HYLB Leadership Academy Coordinators:

  • Participate in recruiting HYLB Academy coordinators and trainers
  • Support country coordinators to develop country training plans and activities
  • Support the countries in identifying local partnership opportunities (e.g. schools, youth organizations, local government education departments, etc.)
  • Manage the HYLB Leadership Academy Community of Practice (discussion forums, update calls, etc.)
  • Guide countries in planning country training events

Monitor and Evaluate Program Data:

  • Develop data collection and tracking tools to standardize training information across the region
  • Roll out data collection and tracking tools to country HYLB Coordinators for proper usage
  • Collect and monitor HYLB Leadership Academy training data from all implementing countries and coordinate GMT reporting
  • Regularly monitor training statistics to drive Regional Team and NO activities
  • Ensure proper administration of the Training Database and records

Module Development and Training Assessment:

  • Lead module review and upgradation based on training assessments and new module materials developed by CCL
  • Ensure quality training standard and integrity of module content across implementing countries including review of translated modules and materials 
  • Lead the biannual regional review of training program in cooperation with CCL and implementing countries
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 3 years work experience in design and implementation of training programs
  • Experience in developing or leading a youth leadership development program
  • Learning Program management
  • Curriculum Development
  • Training and facilitation skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Cross cultural exposure
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
