Talent Attraction/HR Generalist

With a focus on Talent Attraction, this HR Generalist role provides HR consultation and support to the Western States Affiliate of the American Heart Association to ensure that we continually evolve and deliver on our values-centered workforce strategies. Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Partner with hiring managers on full service search management. Ensure that qualifications and hiring criteria for each position are well defined and consistently applied in qualifying applicants and that recruitment efforts are performed in full alignment with our Guiding Values, established policies, standards and legal requirements.
  • Identify and attract top talent through a variety of sourcing techniques including cold calling, traditional and online networking, social media and other platforms/channels. Create innovative and inclusive sourcing strategies consistent with the AHA's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidates on an ongoing basis.
  • Build, manage and document digital and social media recruitment marketing campaigns.
  • Create positive customer experiences with applicants, hiring managers and vendors; provide timely guidance and communication throughout the hiring process. Develop and manage strong network of contacts.
  • Provide expert HR consultation to managers and staff. Proactively ensure timely communication with internal and external partners; supporting collaboration to achieve shared goals.
  • Drive and support strategies to advance the attraction, engagement and development of high performing staff.
  • Participate in affiliate and association-wide projects, initiatives and work groups.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible HR generalist experience
  • Demonstrated track record in creating and executing sourcing strategies for highly competitive positions including cold calling.
  • Talent sourcing, digital media marketing, full cycle recruiting experience.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally
  • Strong research skills with demonstrated understanding and knowledge of leading edge recruiting resources.
  • Entrepreneurial approach with a high level of initiative and personal accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work effectively across a geographically distributed environment
