Project Manager, Corporate Relations

As an integral member of our dynamic Western States Affiliate Corporate Relations team, the Project Manager plans, develops and implements the strategies and activities to support the overall goals and objectives for exceptional account management and revenue growth to advance our lifesaving mission.

The location of this position is flexible within the Western States Affiliate.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manages department tools and resources to support affiliate efforts to increase corporate partnerships and effectively build and sustain fundraising capacity.
  • Manages and coordinates assigned projects through all phases of the corporate relations processes, ensuring that all documents adhere to AHA policies and guidelines. Coordinates resources and communication to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are informed and involved as needed for optimal achievement of project deliverables.
  • Manages cause activation campaigns for identified sponsors and coordinate logistics and administrative support for campaigns as assigned.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners on projects including tracking and reporting, activities, implementation and outcomes.
  • Serves as a resource in developing and preparing presentation and training materials; sponsorship proposals and materials supporting cause activation strategies.
  • Organizes and manages meetings, presentations and trainings from preparation through follow-up and ongoing stewardship.
  • Responsible for communications strategies to inform and engage internal partners on Corporate Relations developments and calls to action including through WSA news, monthly National and ELC news, WSA extranet and other vehicles.
  • Coordinates the sharing of information, strategies and best practices across department functions and divisions.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and achieving deliverables on time for complex projects including presentations, trainings, analytics or other resources.
  • Highly effective collaboration and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to convey ideas, strategy, rationale, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and summarize complex information in order to identify and communicate trends and best practices.
  • Experience in non-profit volunteer management including high level volunteer leadership recruitment, board development and cultivation.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications- Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook and database management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs
