Virtual Campaign Manager, Team In Training

Responsible for managing campaign operations and fundraising cultivation for multiple teams and events in Team In Training for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Oversight of all phases of campaign operations and fundraising including planning, budgeting and implementation. Manages the financial resources and relationships necessary to support and sustain current revenue goals and continued campaign revenue growth.

Work Direction: Works under the supervision and direction of a Regional Team In Training Director.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develops a comprehensive seasonal plan for each assigned team and event, which includes a specific timeline, logistics, volunteer development plan, communications plan and recruitment and marketing plan for each event.  
  • Able to manage and deliver on expectations with the ability to manage multiple teammates at various events in overlapping seasons.   Able to deliver objectives and participant support that ensures retention and exceeding fundraising commitments.
  • Responsible for Corporate and Community Team Development Teams as assigned with the goal to provide a participant focused, high level of support for multi-chapter National Corporate and Community Teams.
  • Responsible for identifying, recruiting, training and developing volunteer support staff as needed in the delivery of Team In Training.
  • Manages and assures the development of all materials required for the successful implementation of assigned Team In Training events:
  • Identifies target audiences and builds appropriate strategies to successfully recruit, acknowledge, and retain event donors/participants.
  • Develops and coordinates promotional activities to ensure the success of events and to enhance public awareness of the LLS and its mission.
  • Works with regions and chapters as both collaborator and advisor in developing greater Team In Training participation in the program.
  • As a member of the national Team In Training staff, assists, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other Team In Training projects, programs and goals.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the LLS mission and its programs to address them.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum two years Team In Training experience in a Campaign Coordinator/Specialist, or Campaign Manager role or equivalent experience in another organization.
  • Ability to work seamlessly in a virtual work team based environment.
  • Minimum two years experience managing teams to achieve and exceed specific revenue goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media and a high level of proficiency/experience interacting in online community based environments.
  • Confidence in public speaking and the ability to present effectively on conference calls and webinars.
  • Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to excellence.
  • Capable of working well with a variety of personalities and leadership styles.
  • Highly organized and professional demeanor.
  • Resourcefulness, promotions savvy and problem solving acumen.
  • Good computer skills (word processing and database programs).
  • Minimum preferred education - Bachelor`s degree .
  • 2-4 or more years fund raising and communications, sales, or marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated volunteer development capabilities.
