We are looking for a Government Relations Manager to manage our relationship with the UK Government, acting as account manager for the Department for International Development (DFID) – a key strategic partner. We need you to increase WVUK's influence and impact with Government Ministers, Senior Civil Servants, politicians and partners on issues that affect the world's most vulnerable children.
Develop our UK Government relationship management approach
- Build an effective relationship management approach for DFID and Foreign Office.
- Develop and implement effective relationship management systems.
- Lead engagement and co-ordination across Policy and Programmes, and the wider organisation to enable influence, income and innovation.
Develop WVUK's external engagement approach
- Develop and deliver an external engagement strategy for influence and income
- Build feedback systems to enable external insights to be brought back into WVUK
- Co-ordinate teams across the organisation to build buy-in and engagement
Develop a great team
- Develop and coach a high performing team which covers fragile states programmes and advocacy, political engagement and the case for aid;
- Play an active role in the leadership of the PACT team, across Policy and Programmes and the wider organisation.
Represent WVUK externally and develop relationships for impact
- Potential to build constructive, collaborative relationships with key players including government Ministers and DFID civil servants.
