The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Assistant located at our Little Rock, AR location supporting of Go Red For Women and Festival of Wines events.

The Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities will include supporting fundraising events, coordinating meetings and calendars, performing data entry of participants and donations, working on event logistics and incentives; perform general accounting/bookkeeping processes for billings, expense reports, donations, check requests, and other applicable financial transactions. This position will also support customer relationship management and provide superior customer service to sponsors, volunteers, and staff; handle record maintenance and report generation and manage general day to day administrative duties.

Educational Background: 
Must have earned a high school diploma or GED
Skills/Experience: 
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in all MS Office software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, often time sensitive environment
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Above average communication and customer service skills. Ability to convey a positive and professional image.
  • Understands the sense of urgency required to support an event.
  • Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to interact with local and affiliate staff, volunteers and donors.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a related role
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
