Provide direct management and leadership for Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity in accordance with the policies, objectives, and directions of the Board of Directors to promote the affiliate vision, direction, health, and growth.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Administration - provide day-to-day management of affiliate staff responsible for programs and administrative functions; direct reports include Director of Operations, Director of Construction, Director of Development, and Manager of the ReStore (donation-based retail store)
- Communications and Outreach - establish a visible presence in the community among all key constituencies, including government entities, faith-based organizations, sister Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and other partner organizations
- Strategic Planning and Implementation - serve as an integral part of the strategic planning process to guide the organization’s focus and efforts, oversee its implementation into a tactical plan, and continually evaluate its effectiveness
- Development - in partnership with the Director of Development, cultivate relationships with existing and potential donors and actively participate in fundraising activities, including grant applications and other government funding programs, to ensure the sustainability of the affiliate
- Finance - assume overall financial stewardship responsibility for the financial health of the chapter, including budget creation and monitoring, asset management, and cash flow management
- Board Support - support the Board of Directors and Executive Committee by facilitating meetings, preparing reports, engaging in dialogue, and pursuing the growth of its membership
- Legal and Compliance - ensure organizational compliance with all policies and procedures, and handle any legal issues related to affiliate operations
Educational Background:
