The People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner role exists to work with department directors/ managers and their teams in an “end-to-end” manner, to ensure that all people policies, programs and systems are aligned with WVI Nepal strategies (including the People & Culture Strategy), effectively implemented and are delivered to “best practice” standard.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Regular meetings with Directors and identified managers (as agreed by client group allocations)
  • Participation in the implementation of departmental strategies and business plans/workforce plan
  • Work with the relevant Directors to ensure reporting relationships, organisational structure, values and cultural norms of relevant client departments are aligned to organisational policies, values & best practice
  • Support talent planning & succession initiatives as led by the P&C department
  • Support in any change management and workforce transition process
  • Management of all employee relations issues, minimising risks to the organisation while valuing individual
  • Coach and advise Directors and Managers on employee relations issues
  • HR legislation, policies, World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) values and best practice are applied and used appropriately in relevant client departments
  • Administer annual OurVoice survey, and facilitate results sharing and action planning
  • Work with the relevant Directors to ensure Performance Management is embedded in the department – on time and to standard
  • Implementation of the annual World Vision Nepal salary review process in relevant client departments within required timeframes
  • Management of all performance management matters including coaching and advising Directors and Managers on managing performance management issues in order to minimise risks to the organisation while valuing individuals
  • Human Resource administration, data capture and reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Administer salary review process within client groups, in conjunction with performance management process
  • Conduct exit interviews as required for outgoing staff and provide feedback where possible to relevant stakeholders
  • Update and maintain WVIN’s online orientation for new staff through WV eCampus
  • Support P&C Director with identifying any Learning & Development (L&D) requirements within WVIN
  • Liaise with South Asia Pacific Region to provide Learning & Development solutions for the organisation
  • Support other team members and functions as required
  • Anticipate, respond to and resolve employee and HR management issues in a timely manner
  • Facilitation of organisation training sessions and workshops that are delivered by People & Culture department.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree (preferred Masters) in Human Resource Management & Development with at least 2-3 years proven experience as an Human Resources generalist, including experience in employee relations and performance management
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous experience in the planning and execution of HR projects
  • Experience working with remote client groups
  • Sound knowledge of theory, concepts and tools in all key areas of Human Resource Management
  • Influencing and coaching skills (ability to work with influence at different levels in the organisation)
  • Customer service focus, with an ability to respond quickly to client group requests
  • Facilitation and Presentation skills
  • Ability to investigate and resolve employee relations cases and issues, in a timely manner that supports WVIN objectives whilst valuing staff
  • Experience of working in an Emergency Response team/setting is preferred
  • Ability to facilitate (and lead) design thinking processes
