In a unique partnership with the Walt Disney World® Resort, the YMCA of Central Florida operates two state-of-the-art licensed child care learning facilities with programming open 365 days a year. Through the efforts of dedicated staff, and achievement of successful program quality, the YMCA Learning Centers are also APPLE accredited!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Associate at our Sherberth facility in Kissimmee, Florida. The incumbent will be responsible for data entry into EZCare2 for additional scheduled days, accurate reporting of family tuition, and problem-solving as needed when families contact with questions related to their accounting ledger. This position will ensure that families receive timely, up-to-date information pertaining to their account with The Learning Center and that the account balances reflect true activity.

S/he must have previous non-profit, business office, and/or accounting experience. This individual will also have a familiarity with child care facility operations. Our ideal candidates have a flair for communication, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely, accurate and professional manner. Ultimately, the incumbent will manage family accounting ledgers, making sure our families are satisfied!

Areas of Responsibility: 
  1. Respond to parent inquiries directly relating to tuition payments and account balances and be ready to problem-solve if needed
  2. Monitor and force policies with The Learning Center related to tuition, discounts, and late payments.
  3. Run and analyze aging reports to identify past due account balances and/or potential refunds to families. Action will be taken dependent on the conclusion.
  4. Reconcile cash and prepare for deposit
  5. Manage family ledgers by posting weekly tuition and generating schedules
  6. Work closely and in a professional manner with Partners. This includes accurate invoicing for scholarship, 4C, and additional days.
  7. Administrative tasks which include picking up mail at the post office [LBV only], depositing cash at the bank, and answering phones.
  8. Create Purchase Orders / Order supplies for the administrative staff
Skills/Experience: 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School degree, or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 1 year administrative, accounting, or finance experience is preferred
  3. Strong organizational skills
  4. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  5. High attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Experience using EZCare2 would be a plus
  7. Sound knowledge of MS Office and high proficiency with Excel
  8. Availability to work a flexible work schedule that meets business needs which may include: Mornings, Afternoons, Nights, Weekends and some Holidays.
