Under the supervision of Senior WASH Training Manager, the incumbent is overall responsible for the ongoing coaching and mentoring of the CLTS teams- CLTS Program of the subcontractors and grantees through conducting regular coaching and mentoring and provision of on the spot feedback.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Undertakes field visit in coordination with WASH team to supervise the coaching officer and ensure the coaches at least once in a month to visit the target communities
- Observes coaches support and ensures that the pre-triggering, triggering and post- triggering related activities are carried out at the right time.
- Coordinate a regular meeting with project team to review issues, trends and upcoming conditions or events in coaching
- Ensures the Coaching officer is supporting coaches and orient them in all required field on how to give positive feedback on the spot and how to positively overcome the gaps
- Ensures corrective coaching plan is followed and completed
- Ensures that Coaching Officer is providing trainings as per required criteria set by project as per workplan to the coaches and then coaches following the set criteria.
- Ensures and observes that the gained knowledge and skills during the trainings by the CLTS team is implemented
- Informs the Senior WASH training manager of any new or conflictive legislative matters that could impact the project
- Develop monthly reports and liaise with subcontractors and grantees on technical aspects in consultation with the Senior WASH training manager
- Provide technical support to key partners, subcontractors and grantees as needed and appropriate
- Ensures that the coaches train, mentor and support the subcontractors’ and grantees’ CLTS team in implementing the CLTS smoothly through:
- On the job trainings to the Community Facilitators
- Provision of on the spot feedback right after the visit is conducted
- Following up with the findings of the last visit to ensure the given feedback is considered
- Reports the critical issues in implementation to the Senior WASH Training Manager to further communicate for its addressment if any;
- Assist and participate in Conducting orientation sessions on the data collection formats, conducting community cleanliness campaigns, hygiene competitions at schools and ODF protocol once finalized
- Support provided to the Senior WASH training manager to developed corrective action plans for the findings of coaches and it follows up with the subcontractors and grantees through the WASH Technical Manager.
Educational Background:
Bachelor in a related field and have vast knowledge and experience in the implementation of CLTS
Skills/Experience:
- At least five years’ experience in the relevant area and trainings on WASH and Hygiene
- Strong organizational communication skills
- Good report writing skills
- Should know about the basics of monitoring and supervision
- Should be computer literate Education
