The Technical Director, Access position will oversee and ensure the technical excellence of all activities relating to public higher education access. This includes working with the Ministry of Higher Education and with specified public universities to develop and extend distance, blended, and online learning platforms and content designed to offer modules, courses, and other learning opportunities; ensure that project activities reach, and are designed to promote learning outcomes, for vulnerable groups including women, ethnic minorities, IDPs, and persons with disabilities; and promote scholarships, transportation assistance, psychosocial support, and other mechanisms designed to foster access to higher education among vulnerable or marginalized groups.
- At least eight years’ experience of which at least five years of experience working in instructional technology and online education programs; demonstrated ability to develop interactive modules, online tutorials, and support training.
- Must have at least five years of progressively more responsible supervisory work experience of technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience with improving access to higher education for historically disadvantaged populations and persons with disabilities in Afghanistan or similar environment.
- Experience organizing and conducting trainings and workshops.
- Strong writing and communication abilities are essential.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English required; fluency in Pasho and Dari preferred.
