The Goldozi M&E Officer will be working closely with and reporting to the M&E Specialist/Senior Manger to support the coordination of all M&E activities, including conducting site visits of Goldozi Grantees, monitoring implementation of activities, assisting with data entry activities, and ensuring the accuracy of data provided by Grantees.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Conduct data collection and data entry in support of assessments and surveys that are implemented under the project.
- Support with the analysis of data to ensure that they are in line with the M&E framework.
- Assist with the review and verification of data generated by Grantees to ensure that they are in line with the M&E reporting requirements.
- Engage with the M&E Specialist/Senior Manager in refining tools and templates based on lessons identified during activity implementation to ensure accurate reporting on project indicators.
- Provide M&E training or capacity development activities to Grantees on Goldozi data collection and monitoring tools and templates.
- Maintain electronic versions of M&E data and supporting documentation, including reports, sign-in sheets, photographs, or other relevant documents.
- Assist in the preparation of progress quarterly M&E reports and upload all approved documents and reports into online systems, including Afghan Info and TraiNet.
- Assists with project research activities, including data collection instruments, translation and transcription of data.
- Support in conducting collaboration, learning, and adapting events among the Grantees and the larger Goldozi team.
- Assist in documenting lessons identified and sharing lessons with the broader program team to be integrated into Goldozi knowledge management efforts.
- Support in carrying out data quality assessments of data provided by Grantees as well as conducting internal data quality assessments of Goldozi program data.
- Contribute to presentation of data and findings in MS Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint formats.
- Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by reporting line.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
Skills/Experience:
- At least two years of monitoring experience, preferably working with USAID-funded programs.
- Experience in program monitoring, evaluation, data collection, and data management.
- Ability to analyze data and identify data entry or respondent errors.
- Experience with USAID Afghan Info and/or TraiNet a plus.
- Knowledge of USAID M&E templates and reporting requirements a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and a willingness to take initiative and be proactive.
- Excellent communications and team work skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization and of different multi-cultural backgrounds.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office package, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience using database and data analysis software a plus.
- Fluency in English and local languages i.e. Pashto and Dari required.
