The MSME Field Officers will facilitate (in assigned geographical area) the implementation of the Global Program to develop livelihood for poverty affected population through a multi-sectoral established and monitored waste management system (PHINLA) Project.
MSME Field Officers will be directly supervised by MSME Specialist, and will be responsible for the implementation of this project in collaboration/partnership with the with public and private companies, local communities and other stakeholders, and would work directly with beneficiaries to support the development of their business plans and entrepreneurship.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide support to the project implementation
- Network, coordinate, collaborate and mobilize partnerships
- Monitor, Report, Project evaluation and Audits
- To contribute to implement the WVL Strategic Plan
Educational Background:
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences or equivalent in experience
Skills/Experience:
- Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint, email and internet
- Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Understanding of the local context
- At least 2 years’ work experience in similar position
- Experience in working with MSME’s is very much preferred
- Experience in training facilitation
- Fluency in English and Sinhala or Tamil
- Ability to ride a motor bike with a valid ridding license
- Experience in community development, livelihood, infrastructure and capacity building of Civil Society Organizations and Local Authorities (CSO’s & LA)
- Skills in project implementation and knowledge of CSOs/LA
- Knowledge & experience in handling grant-funded Projects and WV system
- Mobilization and Facilitation skills
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel regularly within the project focus area
- Ability to work in a team environment and under minimum supervision
- Ability to work in stressful environments with physical hardship conditions with limited resources
