The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Soldier Ride Coordinator (Recruiter) recruits Alumni for Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Soldier Ride events. The three to five (3-5) day long rides are geared towards warriors of all abilities; adaptive and standard cycling equipment are provided. In addition to the physical, mental and emotional benefit, Soldier Ride helps raise public awareness of the issues warriors face today.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for recruiting Alumni to Soldier Ride events
  • Coordinate all transportation logistics for participants, working in coordination with the Operations Specialist using SalesForce and CVent
  • Work with all relevant IT infrastructure and resources to facilitate a seamless recruitment process (SalesForce / CVent)
  • Ensure all paperwork is in place at SR events (warrior registration, liability releases, etc)
  • Distribute all relevant information and be primary point of contact (POC) for Alumni who will potentially participate in any Soldier Ride cycling opportunity
  • Have a working knowledge of each event’s operational plan
  • Advise the warriors of timelines/schedules
  • Assist with and/or potentially implement warrior recruitment at WWP events
  • Liaise with other WWP teammates and Warrior Transition Units (WTUs) to recruit alumni for events
  • Other duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Represent WWP in a professional manner
  • Ability to provide high quality customer services to all relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and overall team effort in the department and organization
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to manage two way flow of communication (e.g. constituent’s needs communicated to leadership and vice versa)
  • Two (2) years’ experience recruiting participants for events preferred
  • Military experience or familiarity with military culture preferred
  • Cycling experience preferred
  • Must be able to travel between 25% - 50% of the time including overnight travel and weekends
