The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Resource Development Coordinator supports the fundraising teams in their efforts to generate revenue in support of WWP programs and services, and works with supporters, community members, volunteers, and vendors to help ensure the fundraising events are successful.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide direct administrative support to fundraising management teams, e.g. Peer to Peer, Major Gifts, and Strategic Partnerships.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for the fundraising team. 
  • Assist the fundraising team with research to identify supporters
  • Assist the fundraising team to create and prepare internal and external communications, including fundraising document production and donor correspondence.
  • Input data into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and manage database information.
  • Support projects and fundraising events to develop relationships with potential donors.
  • Collaborate with fundraising team to evaluate fundraising events success, and the potential for future activities for the various event types and markets. Analyze fundraising event results. Track data and compare against approved event budgets. Prepare reports for management.
  • Travel to events and provide onsite support as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or GED.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience with proprietary and fundraising software and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to build rapport via phone and email.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, assignments, and priorities, and completing them within deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy level. Self- starter; willing to take initiative.
  • Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.
  • Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.
  • One-year of customer service experience in a business or non-profit organization.

Preferences

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • One year of experience in fundraising, sales, or donor relations.
  • One year of experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
