The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Registration Coordinator provides registration assistance, internal and external resource services, and outreach to wounded military service members, their caregivers, and their families.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Maintain the WWP program database and ensure information is updated and current to better engage warriors and caregivers.
- Ensure alumni database records are updated with information collected from various alumni communications.
- Coordinate alumni registration and verification process.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with warriors and family members to facilitate the registration process and answer eligibility questions.
- Respond timely to alumni requests via email, phone, and regular mail from warriors and family members.
- Research incomplete database information and identify methods to complete records.
- Communicate by phone or email to warriors and family members to follow-up, track progress, and encourage engagement in WWP programs.
- Review and analyze program data to derive trends and statistics to support WWP staff with improved warrior and caregiver engagement.
- Assist with communication coordination among warriors, family members, and program staff.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
High School Diploma
Skills/Experience:
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to utilize effective verbal probing techniques to obtain information. Demonstrated ability to communicate information effectively.
- Demonstrated proficiency using appropriate etiquette when responding to mail, email, and phone.
- Accurate data entry and typing proficiency and skills. Demonstrated ability to timely and accurately maintain data in a Customer Relationship Management system such as SalesForce.
- Strong computer skills. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office.
- Good organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively. Effectively complete assignments and meet deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse individuals and build effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated understanding of WWP programs and services offered to wounded warriors.
- Demonstrated understanding of military culture and veteran issues.
- Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.
- Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.
- Two years of customer service or support services experience.
Preferences
- Two years’ call center or military family support service experience.
- One year of experience using a customer relationship management system, e.g., Salesforce.
- Bilingual Spanish and English verbal communications skills.
