The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Marketing Vice President will direct the organization’s marketing vision and strategic brand identity to further support our mission to honor and empower wounded warriors. The Marketing Vice President will oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to grow, mobilize and steward the broad and diverse family of WWP supporters.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide executive leadership to the marketing department to ensure high performance, including selecting, developing, and managing a highly functional team
  • Develop, plan and collaborate with fellow senior leadership on integrated marketing initiatives that drive WWP’s strategic plan
  • Collaborate and support revenue generation opportunities across key channels and platforms
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Marketing department
  • Approve new campaigns or marketing initiatives for organization
  • Oversee the planning, implementation and coordination of strategic and high impact marketing publications and collateral, crafting the organization’s message within the broad strategic plan
  • Develop an annual Marketing Plan that provides strategic direction
  • Ensure seamless integration across all consumer touch points and alignment with brand essence and organization strategic vision
  • Develop innovative methods for delivering organization’s image and brand
  • Oversee assigned marketing agency relationships and consistency across all agencies to deliver high quality cause marketing execution and partnership promotion
  • Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Communications

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals in leadership and key organization roles
  • Skill and ease in public and serving as representative for organization
  • Demonstrated ease and confidence in public speaking addressing diverse groups of individuals
  • Ability to define and/or develop organizational policies, procedures, and processes
  • Proven leadership abilities, preferably with experience supervising remote subordinates, including ability to lead, motivate, coach, and educate staff member
  • Demonstrated success developing a marketing program(s) that supports an overall strategic business plan and effectively manage the supporting budget

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in marketing at either an agency or corporate level required
  • Minimum six (6) years staff management experience required
  • Non-profit experience preferred
