Wounded Warrior Project’s (WWP) Grants & Foundations Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for working directly with the RD-Grants Team to contribute to the successful pursuit of grant funding from foundations, corporations, donor advised funds, and others supporting Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) through a grant vehicle. This role will share in the team goal and work with the foundation teammates on various projects.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist team in researching, developing and tracking grantmakers, donors, and foundations
- Assist team in proposal drafting, reporting, review and general correspondence development
- Develop relationships with individuals and foundations by providing requested information, marketing materials and updates throughout the year while also working internally to ensure compliance with all regulations
- Ensure the highest quality interaction with grantmakers and work cross channels within WWP to help identify additional opportunities
- Provide a broad range of administrative support to the RD-Grants team including scheduling meetings, providing information to interested grantmakers, composing correspondence/responding to emails, creating presentations, gathering information, preparing reports, and working directly with peer and support teams throughout WWP
- Input and track data via customer relationship management (CRM) database
- Process all general requests for paperwork from prospective grantmakers and other donors via phone, email, and web requests
- Support a variety of projects that drive grants and donor-advised giving
- Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background:
High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Exceptional internet navigation/research skills
- Occasional travel
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in a nonprofit development environment preferred
- Previous grant writing / grants management training /research role and/or experience preferred
