Provide financial services to ‘Livelihood and Waste Management Project(BMZ funded)’ that is implemented by WVL ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistent Financial support and support the financial procurements to achieve its optimal usage and the eventual reporting to WVL management and stakeholders. Ensure Payment process is smooth and day to day Financial operational procedures such as planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and Project closure and audit, etc. are conducted in timely manner and in line with WVL Policy and Procedure as well as Field Financial Manual (FFM).
Allocation of Project Funds
- Carry out day-to-day finance activities at the grant funded project to ensure smooth functioning of the project activities including cash management and purchasing
Planning, Preparation and Monitoring of annual budgets
- Facilitate annual budgeting process and submission of annual budgets on a timely basis as per Grant and regional/GC guidelines. Maintain budgetary records and details for audit checks.
Operation of Internal Controls at the Project (Focusing on Ja-ela, Wattala and Chavakachcherie)
- Maintain high level of Internal Control with the AP and adhere/implement audit recommendation.
- Staff Advance limits & due dates are strictly followed(GEMS processor role)
Collaborating and networking
- Collaborate closely with the accountant at the project’s main partner (of ‘Sevanatha’) on project budget planning and reporting.
- Supervise finances at MSME’s and other partner on necessary financial training.
Reporting
- Ensure financial reports are prepared with professional competence, and provide information to the Field Offices/WVL management and Local Government Authorities on a regular basis.
Documentation and filing (Including asset administration at the project)
- Provide support and supervision of asset
Sub-Grantee's financial transaction
- Check monthly and posting in SUN 6 with the validation of NO Finance.
- Following-up monthly spending and variance including Fund Transfer.
Any other responsibility as assigned by the project Manager
- Extend helping hand to the AP staff
Any other responsibility as assigned by the Zonal Finance or National Office Finance
- To carry out any specific function to Support National office requirements.

- Work effectively with staff in a team-oriented environment with a positive, can-do attitude
- Proficiency with MS office suite and other software applications
- Understanding of the financial policy and guidelines that relate to WVL and its partnership offices
- Experience in meeting financial standards under Grant conditions.
- Minimum of 03 Years accounting experience in similar capacity.
- The position is based in Field location and requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and occasional overseas travel
