The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the consistent achievement of the Child Development Council’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. The CEO leads the organization’s justice, equity, diversity & inclusion commitment in all aspects of the Council: internal relationship building, resource development, community building, visioning and planning, and broader systemic change. Through external outreach and advocacy, the recruitment and retention of a qualified workforce, management of a stimulating and creative work environment, and commitment to the growth and development of healthy children and families, the Chief Executive Officer’s leadership impacts the social and economic well-being of families, child care entities, local businesses and workforce, governments, and the community at large.
- ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Ensure the steady progress forward in attaining the organization’s goals, mission, vision, values and principles
- COMMUNITY RELATIONS & PUBLIC ADVOCACY: Act as the public relations representative of the organization; foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, diversity, and advocacy
- HR MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT: Work to ensure a qualified workforce, providing supervision, oversight and support; monitor the administration of programs and services in a manner that ensures quality, effectiveness, and accountability
- FUND DEVELOPMENT & FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: Provide strategic, financial and operational leadership for the agency
- 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in organizational management in such areas as human resources, resource development and fiscal oversight, grant writing and fundraising, marketing and public relations
- Knowledge and the ability to effectively advocate and communicate the needs of children, their families, and early care and learning systems
- Experience collaborating with educational institutions, for-profit businesses, government entities, human service organizations, and related agencies is highly desirable
Annual salary - $70,000 - $80,000
Agency provides a cafeteria benefits section 125 plan which may be used toward health insurance, dental insurance, child care, or 403-b plan.
