We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Director Development in our Dallas office for our SouthWest Affiliate. You will have fundraising responsibilities bringing together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers of the community to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #4 killer in America. The fundraising goal for this position is $25,000.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage all sponsorship agreements, vendor contracts, vendor payments and event reconciliation.
- Reconcile information for weekly and/or daily reporting.
- Manage and drive the timeline of the event.
- Database management including auction, sponsorship and in-kind.
- Event management and logistics liaison.
- Developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders.
- Organizing, communicating, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
- Ensures records are maintained securely and/or disposed of in accordance to AHA policies.
- Managing the website and communications timeline.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree.
Skills/Experience:
- Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years’ experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
- 2+ years of experience in project management and/or finance.
- Results driven with the ability to multi task, prioritize, self-start and work collaboratively with a team.
- Willing and able to travel within the assigned local territory approximately 50% of the time.
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and extensive spreadsheets.
