Well, this position will provide administrative support to our Senior Vice President Development by preparing documents and reports, maintaining records and coordinating meetings, plus any other assigned work. You will also work with our volunteers who help with events throughout the year, so we are looking for a great multi-tasker who can do it all with a great attitude and who likes to work in a busy environment.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Coordinate Outlook for complex interviews/meetings.
  • Monthly expense report submissions for multiple team members.
  • Schedule trainings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for multiple team members.
  • Take notes/action items on team conference calls as requested.
  • Logistics for team meetings (RSVPs, room preparation, order food, snacks, etc.).
  • Meeting preparation (could include creating materials and printing packets as requested)
  • Ability to work on many projects and juggle multiple high priority projects at once.
  • Recurring monthly/bi-weekly reports as requested.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College graduate preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2+ year related experience.
  • Ability to lift 20lbs from ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations and spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge and skill with these programs is preferred. These skills are subject to testing.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends and travel when necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of AHA staff, volunteers and public.
  • Ability to maintain a current driver’s license, drive a car and provide reliable transportation.
  • The AHA is a non-smoking employer.
