We have an excellent opportunity for a Development Director- CycleNation . The selected candidate will have the opportunity to lead a new fundraising initiative for the American Heart Association in the Dallas market .

This leader will be a part of a team, which will build out this new exciting initiative with a fundraising goal of $500,000, through corporate sponsorship and peer to peer fundraising in the territory.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Drive new business development through sponsorship sales
  • Recruit and manage Corporate Chair and leadership committee
  • Drive peer-to-peer fundraising
  • Developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders to successfully drive participation
  • Monitoring participant fundraising trends and implementing proven strategies to maximize income
  • Ensuring successful collaboration and implementation of national strategies
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity. With an emphasis on new business development
  • Organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must
  • Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multi task
  • Willing and able to travel locally driving your car (mileage reimbursement) within the assigned territory approximately 75% of the time
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets
  • Must be at least 18 years old
