The Campaign Specialist, Student Series will oversee and manage more than 500 fundraising schools in Northern Ohio. The Specialist will work with school volunteers to develop fundraising goals and an executable plan for reaching those goals while cultivating relationships with schools in 31 counties.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversee and manage fundraising schools in 31 counties across Northern Ohio. Will work with students and staff in schools ranging from pre-K to high school level.
- Conduct in-school strategy and / or goal planning meetings with volunteers and students.
- Conduct kick-off assemblies in schools.
- Monitor fundraising progress of participants and maintain communication with schools throughout the academic year.
- Manage and maximize online fundraising potential with all participating schools.
- Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the Student Series campaign, including fundraising goals, budget recommendations, volunteer goals and event logistics.
- Communicate and maintain relationships with partners
- Solicit donation items for school support – such as local gift cards and school supplies
- Develop positive volunteer interactions and strong relationships with volunteers, sponsors and community and school leaders to support the growth of the program.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with participants, volunteers and staff
- Develop and modify marketing materials as needed for the Student Series campaign, including print and digital communication
- Communicate with donors through customized thank you letters
- Maintain a working knowledge of LLS mission and its programs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Skills/Experience:
- 2 years fundraising, sales, marketing, communications, event planning experience.

- Excellent MS Office Suite and database management skills.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication and organizational skills.

- Professional and solid judgment.
- Must have reliable method of daily transportation and valid driver’s license.

- May be required to move Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
- Travel within the Chapter's designated area.
- PLEASE NOTE – this may involve travel across 31 counties. The Northern Ohio Chapter covers from Toledo to Mansfield. The territory extends as south as Richland county and reaches the state’s east and west borders. All travel will be done via car.
- May work evenings and weekends as needed.
