The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for atemporary part-time Healthcare Quality Data Entry Clerksupporting our Houston office.The work schedule will be approximately 16-20 hours a week and this assignment is expected to last until the end of December 2018 (end date and hours subject to change). Successful candidates will be hired and trained by AHA, but they will report for duty at hospitals in Houston to which we assign them.They will also be trained by their assigned hospitals.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Abstract patient treatment records from hospital electronic health records
- Enter patient data into the Get With The Guidelines- Heart Failure Patient Management Tool.
- Run regular compliance reports on performance measures.
Educational Background:
Bachelors Degree in healthcare related field required; Current MPH or Postbaccalaureate in healthcare preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of standard office procedures, filing, data entry formats for computerized record keeping,
- Excellent data entry skills
- Effective communication skills
- Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation
- Familiarity or interest in Electronic Health Records
- Must be at least 18 years old
