The Senior Vice President of People & Culture will lead organizational change to build and sustain a top-tier employee experience and a recognized culture of high performance. You will design, develop, and implement a comprehensive people-centered strategy to ensure the affiliate is ready to meet the needs of our patients now and in the future. Leverage all aspects of human capital management including: HR functional excellence, talent acquisition and workforce development, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, training and leadership development, succession planning, competitive compensations and benefits programs, and other -workplace best practices.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Acts as a senior advisor and confidante to affiliate leadership. Works to ensure team cohesion and alignment.
  • Drives strategic initiatives on organization and design, employee relations, recruitment, talent training and development, talent management, and change management.
  • Lead long range growth planning that impacts the attraction, engagement, performance, training and development, and retention of our workforce.
  • Develop and implement change programs and employee communications focused on driving and supporting employee engagement.
  • Ensure the continuous gathering and incorporation of employee feedback, best practice research, and other external learnings into communication and change management strategies to drive optimum results. Ensures human resources functional excellence by leading, assessing and developing the human resources and training and development teams.
  • Designs and implements a well-defined leadership and staff professional development strategy.
  • Advances organizational effectiveness through cross-departmental collaboration and teambuilding.
  • Work with leaders and managers to ensure a clear understanding of responsibilities of all employees in a continuing effort to define “high performance”.
  • Designs and implements a talent acquisition and development strategy to ensure a diverse, viable talent pipeline and a fully engaged and empowered team. 
  • Initiate a long-term diversity strategy that encompasses awareness and an environment integrated into learning, training, and development throughout all areas of employee engagement.
  • Ensure forward-thinking, competitive, cost-effective compensations and benefits programs are deployed with measurable impact and return on investment.
  • Ensure active, meaningful performance management to deliver the organization’s strategic goals and support key initiatives through employee engagement and empowerment.
  • Ensure the continuous gathering of employee feedback
  • Evaluates the success of programs and activities to measure effectiveness, improve outcomes, and ensure meaningful return on investment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Vice President of Human Resources, Director of Organization Effectiveness, and the Director of Training and Development. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Educational Background: 
Master’s degree in human resource management, business administration, organizational development and effectiveness or a directly related field.

  • Ability to maintain client and patient confidentiality.
  • Models diversity and inclusion awareness.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to use data to drive decision making.
  • Values teamwork, flexibility and adaptability.
  • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency and experience with course development software, learning management systems, and other industry standard technology.
  • Experience leading in an organization with multiple sites and constituencies.
