To work with the Project Coordinator and implement programme according to the Project design. The DME officer will manage the Design documents of the project ensuring that the project is achieving the desired project outcome

Areas of Responsibility: 

M&E processes and systems (15%)

  • Carry out routine field measurements, data collection and monitoring to ensure quality programming and adherence to minimum standards Vision International DM&E standards, values and principles, SPHERE and other sector standards and protocols and mainstreaming cross cutting issues- accountability, gender, environment, protection, peace-building, disability and Christian commitment.
  • Support the coordinator in the development of programme related monitoring and evaluation systems and plans, ensuring that the system incorporate and consider aspects at output, process, context and impact levels across all projects
  • Carry out regular field monitoring visits and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • facilitate dialogue and learning on programme/project implementation
  • Support mid-term reviews and internal evaluations and in the preparation of reports in accordance with World Vision partnership standards. Coordinate and provide technical guidance for external partnership evaluation consultancies
  • Assist in developing and managing an updated database of project indicators and monitoring activities

Program planning and design (15%)

  • Support in the implementation of activities for all project measurement activities including assessments, baselines, ODM, PDM, CSI etc.
  • Support the coordinator in the preparation of programme/project design documents specifically in informing M&E sections of proposal documents
  • Support the coordinator in setting grant budgets with specific input into the Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in international development, rural development, sociology, statistics or any other relevant social sciences discipline;
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 2 years’ experience in design and implementation of Humanitarian Accountability and M&E systems; including qualitative and quantitative approaches to assessment and monitoring is required
  • At least 2 years’ experience in data processing or analysis (Excel, SPSS, etc.) is required
  • Ability to organize and facilitate capacity building/ enhancement for staff is required
  • Fluency in speaking English and Siswati is required
  • Good report writing and facilitation skills is required
  • Detailed oriented and able to verify data quality
  • 2 Years experience in Project Management
