The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a FT (37.5 hours/week) temporary Administrative Associate in our Great Rivers Affiliate office located in Harrisburg. The Associate will provide support for our Harrisburg market. The organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated Associate will support changing the lives of individuals in the area through the fundraising events.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform donor/fundraiser data entry and generate donor/fundraiser reports
- Provide support for the market events including sponsorship tracking, contract management, matching gifts and other donations
- Perform financial coding and A/P and A/R work, including managing budget reports (use of IQ4bis & E1)
- Act as a project manager to help provide administrative support to AHA’s signature fundraising event(s).
Educational Background:
Two+ year degree preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in an office setting as an administrative assistant or similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, desktop publishing and database tools
- Ability to complete administrative related tasks such as reviewing, responding to and typing letters, reviewing documents, manuals and other professional office correspondence.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Ability to prioritize and change direction quickly with tasks and projects
- Ability to interact with all levels of business professionals with strong customer focus
