The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Associate in our Great Rivers Affiliate office located in Harrisburg, PA. The Associate will provide support to five (5) Heart Walks (Franklin/Fulton, Adam, York, Lebanon, and Centre) and to two Development Directors who work remotely. The organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated Associate will support changing the lives of individuals in the area through Heart Walk events.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform donor/fundraiser data entry and generate donor/fundraiser reports
- Provide support for Heart Walk events including sponsorship tracking, contract management, matching gifts and other donations
- Assist Directors in preparing for committee meetings as needed. Attend committee meetings and record minutes as needed. Arrange for meeting space, room set-up, meals, equipment, etc.
- Perform financial coding and A/P and A/R work, including managing budget reports (use of IQ4bis & E1)
- Oversee all logistics associated with Heart Walk events
- Manage annual Email Campaign for Heart Walk. Maintain external Heart Walk websites as appropriate
- Act as a project manager to help provide administrative support to AHA’s signature fundraising event(s).
Educational Background:
Two+ year degree preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in an office setting as an administrative assistant or similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, desktop publishing and database tools
- Ability to complete administrative related tasks such as reviewing, responding to and typing letters, reviewing documents, manuals and other professional office correspondence.
