- Provide overall management of the VYA component of the ASRH program;
- Collaborate with and support the ASRH team to design, adapt, and implement VYA strategies and materials for use at the household, community, and health facility levels in project areas;
- Build capacity of local partners to implement and monitor quality VYA activities;
- Support the MOH on technical ASRH issues, including participation in key Ministry-led technical working groups related to ASRH/VYAs;
- Support the ASRH and other technical staff by problem-solving and providing guidance with operational issues related to VYA programming.
- Lead documentation of results and lessons from VYA programming.
- At least five years of experience with skills and experience in life skills education, adolescent health, reproductive health and/or HIV/AIDS prevention programming for youth;
- Experience in project implementation, monitoring, training and mentoring.
- Experience developing and/or adapting behavior change communication materials.
- Comfort and familiarity with puberty and sexuality education for adolescents, particularly 10-14 year-olds
- Experience of working with local partners in the field of sexual and reproductive health.
- Ability to provide technical support to community groups implementing interventions for adolescents 10 – 14 years old
- Knowledge of the Zimbabwean health system
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting with minimal supervision.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English
- Ability to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel within the country.
- Legal authorization to work in Zimbabwe.
- Personal and professional commitment to adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
