FHI 360 wishes to hire a Capacity Building Coordinator under Project Sunrise to assist and lead on the implementation of structured capacity building initiatives under the Project. This will include conduct of capacity needs assessments; coordinating trainings and documenting report on the same.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Strengthen SACS capacity to roll out quality interventions among all KPs. Assist & coordinate with SACS on the national revamping strategies and develop the training plans to ensure that various NE states are trained on innovations (SNM, PNM, Differential Prevention package, Harm reduction including SDNS, OST including Satellite OST, FIDU and Spouses).
  • Support in the implementation of structured capacity building initiatives & support Capacity Building Team in rolling out the trainings based on the prepared training calendar of Sunrise.
  • Coordinate with SACS, technical specialists, State Coordinators, mentors and NGO partners at the state level to ensure effective roll-out of the capacity building initiatives under the project and within the timeline.
  • Assist in developing training modules/materials on a range of PWID/harm reduction issues with extensive inputs from the technical specialists.
  • Keeping up to date on newer developments in training including adult-based learning methodologies by reading relevant materials.
  • Stay informed on protocols, guidelines and all relevant information related to the program.
  • Monitor and review the quality of the training and progress of trainees. Support the CBS in documentation of trainings, conduct pre-post assessment, evaluation and analysis of trainings.
  • Train the NGO staff in rolling out the BCC strategy by using the flip books developed by FHI360 for PWID, spouses/partners and prisoners including using the developed material for ART and VL testing.
  • Strengthen and ensure to document successes and best practices.
  • Responsible for reporting on all capacity building indicators relevant for CDC/PEPFAR reporting.
  • Support on any task as requested by Capacity building specialist.
Educational Background: 
Must be a Masters/Diploma in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social work or similar educational profile in related subject/s;
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 5 years of experience in conducting training activities & experience with event coordination
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with office package: such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Power Point
  • Knowledge and experience in training curriculum design, development, and delivery
  • Exceptional writing, editing and oral communication skills.
  • Prior knowledge of harm reduction programmes.
  • Familiarity with PWID populations and established commitment to travel extensively.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in designing and implementing structured capacity building programs in donor funded public health programs especially in HIV/AIDS and PWID; Experience in developing training materials and resources.
