Triad Mobile Kitchen Manager

This position in conjunction with leadership is responsible for effectively managing, monitoring, maintaining, and implementing the American Heart Association’s “Mobile Kitchen Simple Cooking with Heart” program and cooking curriculum in the Triad area (Greensboro, NC office).

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop, implement, and manage the operation of the mobile kitchen including class schedules, course curriculum, and enrollment of students.
  • Prepare, manage and oversee the food purchases and all procurement including food and equipment levels so the mobile kitchen is prepared for daily classes and use.
  • Plan and coordinate course schedules and functions for the mobile kitchen
  • Oversee all day-to-day and overhead operations of the mobile kitchen (such as ensuring expenses are paid, food, supplies, and materials are purchased, inventory levels are accurate, supervisor is notified of any significant maintenance or repairs of equipment).
  • Conduct and prepare reports as required to accurately track class attendance, facility use, program effectiveness, data collection and evaluation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate events to raise awareness within the community-at-large and to generate interest in course enrollment.
  • Serve as the point of contact and act as the lead spokesperson for the mobile kitchen and AHA.
  • Other duties as assigned and necessary to ensure the successful operation of the mobile kitchen.
Educational Background: 
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Public speaking/presentation skills
  • Public health knowledge

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of culinary experience
  • 2+ years of Management/budgetary experience
Compensation/Benefits: 

$20/HR
