The Arizona Executive Director (AZED) serves as the leader of One Step Beyond, Inc. (OSBI) in Arizona, is the primary public representative of OSBI in Arizona, and reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Areas of Responsibility:
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement operating plans to support the organization’s strategic direction
- Partner with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to develop strategies to support the financial viability of the organization
Board Communication
- Collaborate with Executive Team to plan the Agenda for Board Meetings.
- Collaborate with Executive Team to prepare Strategic Planning Reports
- Prepare monthly informational updates to the Board of Directors
Leadership
- Oversee the operations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Develop policies and procedures to facilitate the implementation of strategic plans
- Promote a collaborative employee culture, reflecting the organization's values
Financial Stewardship
- Collaborate with CFO to develop annual budgets for Arizona Programs and Services
- Manage the organization's programs within budget guidelines
- Collaborate with the CFO to provide information to the Board related to the organization's financial position
Program Effectiveness
- Oversee the design, delivery, and quality of programs and services provided to Members
- Stay abreast of current trends related to the organization's mission and services
Development, and Community Outreach
- Collaborate with the D and C Team on strategic fundraising plans
- Function as a key resource in donor relationships and fundraising solicitations
- Support efforts to enhance the visibility of One Step Beyond’s brand and its programs
- Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative for One Step Beyond in Arizona
Educational Background:
Required: Bachelor's Degree; Preferred: Master's Degree or MBA
Skills/Experience:
Required Qualifications
- BS or BA degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
- Experience with individuals with Intellectual Disability (or a similar vulnerable population) and a passion for the mission, vision, and values of One Step Beyond
- Experience as results oriented, innovative leader
- Record of successfully managing complex organizations with expertise in nonprofit management
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with ability to promote the brand in the community.
