The Grants Officer will coordinate, plan and facilitate the implementation and monitoring of the Food for Nutrition Project activities implemented in Area Programs for the well-being of children, families and communities.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate timely implementation of project activities at AP level in collaboration with community based institutions, commune, zone and Colline administration, decentralized entities of DPAE and other local partners ( 45% )
- Conduct monitoring of project activities in assigned AP, ensuring respect of established implementation plans and targets, proper use and accountability of resources allocated to project ( 25% )
- Generate and maintain monthly project reports to the Supervisor in accordance with Donor requirements ( 10% )
- Facilitate the capacity building of vulnerable households to have access to community financial services ( 5% )
- Network with community groups and communal institutions, the Church and other local partners to identify areas of possible cooperation and resource mobilization. ( 5% )
- Organize project review, reflection and learning forums at communal level ( 5% )
Educational Background:
A2 diploma in Community Development, Rural Development (agriculture and livestock)
Skills/Experience:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Agriculture-livestock interventions in a governmental or non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
Technical Skills & Abilities
- Must hold a motorcycle driving license and able to drive motorcycle
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Must have good interpersonal and facilitation skills
Work Environment:
- Work environment: 50% travel to the field in the communities
- On call: as required
