This temporary position provides assistance and support in the planning and implementation of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and all other fundraising programs in conjunction with the Development Department and its overall goals for the Genesee County area. This part-time/temporary position reports to the Senior Director of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Use current connections and develop new connections to support the Association
  • Assist with Walk planning committee and logistics
  • Assist with staffing expo tables and events
  • Recruit teams for Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the Longest Day
  • Assist with procuring sponsorships
  • Assist with Walk to End Alzheimer’s wraparound events including potential Research Night and Community Engagement Breakfast
  • Attend networking events and groups on behalf of Association
  • Assist with securing media partnerships and marketing opportunities

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work remotely
  • Work may be stressful at times
  • Ability to travel as needed to perform job duties
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work independently
  • Generally requires additional hours during weeks surrounding special events
Educational Background: 
Degree preferred in a related field or equivalent work and education experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience in non-profit field is highly desirable
  • Fundraising experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Experience with Luminate Online preferred
  • Experience with Google Suite preferred
