Successful Candidate will provides support and leadership to association fundraising efforts, with a focus on assigned branches.
A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of progressive experience in development are required, including experience coaching and managing volunteers. Candidates should have demonstrated personal success in donor cultivation, major gifts development, writing successful grant proposals and meeting fundraising goals, and a proven track record of achieving revenue targets of $500,000 or more annually. Experience working closely with high net worth individuals, foundation leadership and senior-level executives, is necessary. Planned giving experience is preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Experience with fundraising database software is preferred.
- Interpret, communicate, and promote Y mission, goals, and objectives to staff, employees, volunteer leaders, members, and the community.
- Support branch/department initiatives related to membership retention and Annual Giving goals.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
- Promote, foster and support the Y’s commitment to access, inclusion and engagement for all by engaging diverse populations in a welcoming environment.
- In partnership with Branch Executive Directors, cultivate and enhance key relationships, communicating directly with major donors and prospects, and corporate/foundation/community leaders.
- Collaborate with Branch Executive Directors, program staff, and volunteers to align fundraising and marketing strategies and program initiatives.
- Plan and manage development activities with current donors and prospects with the capacity to give $2,500 and more.
- Coach and train volunteers and staff in fundraising best practices.
- Collaborate with Y staff and volunteers to guide solicitation of, or personally solicit, all association and branch major gifts.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and incorporate new donors in the campaign to enlarge the donor base.
- Report fundraising progress to volunteer and staff leadership.
- In conjunction with finance department, ensure timely completion of departmental objectives, and adherence to departmental budgets.
- Provide financial development reports and other data as needed.
- Develop and execute association major gifts plan and support branch fulfillment of plan.
- Provide leadership and training to branch Executive Directors and others on donor cultivation process and on solicitation of major gifts.
- Collaborate with members of all departments to ensure consistency of communications to donors and volunteers.
- Assist with development and dissemination of Y stories and other communications of impact.
- May supervise and direct philanthropy support staff.
- Fulfill all other duties as assigned.

Salary: $45,000.00 - $62,000.00
