The Senior Specialist, Front-End Web Developer will be part of the team leading website development for an international charitable organization whose mission is to save children globally.

This position requires designing and developing front-end experiences that can integrate with template- and api-based CMS and other data service systems that meet business needs and requirements. Candidate must be experienced with modern JavaScript and CSS techniques, show a deep understanding of core web technology, and be able to analyze, research and implement web solutions.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Principle Responsibilities: 85%

  • Develop front-end user experiences and templates that will be integrated into Adobe Experience Manager and/or Luminate Online CMS platforms
  • Perform systems analysis and solution design for web application(s)
  • Provide input into requirements
  • Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse
  • Provide input into project planning with development tasks and time estimates

Other Responsibilities: 15%

  • Support and lead troubleshooting on website and website-related issues
  • Be an advocate and subject matter expert for modern web application design and development
  • Perform other duties as may be required
Educational Background: 
Bachelor Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to create dynamic data-based front-end web applications
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Vue, Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience creating dynamic front-end applications that integrate with a CMS
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated test execution tools
  • Extensive experience Integrating with first- and third-party API’s and services
  • Must be comfortable with DOM manipulation
  • Excellent communication skills, both in and out of code, including ability to:
    • Write clear code comments and documentation
    • Provide end-users with documentation
    • Clearly communicate project execution goals and requirements 
      to multiple types and levels of internal clients and partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Blackbaud Luminate, Adobe Experience Manager, Java
