The Specialist, IT Data Analyst is responsible for developing, managing, and executing data management processes with the objective to improve the overall state of data on core Enterprise systems. These data quality initiatives involve importing, cleaning, transforming, validating, and modeling and typically include daily constituent record review and correction, performing global updates, duplicate resolution, and individual record updates as part of the overall data governance model. The Specialist, IT Data Analyst will work with IT colleagues and business partners with addressing data quality issues and resolving the source of data problems. The Specialist, IT Data Analyst will work hand-in-hand with other IT professionals providing recommendations for enhancements to further improve the state of data on the CRM system.

The Specialist, IT Data Analyst will also work directly on the CRM system to manage the delivery and produce Constituent Marketing Files for campaigns. This work may include creating or modifying existing marketing efforts to target specific constituent audiences, producing, validating, and correcting data files, and delivering them to business partners. As well, the overall management, organization, and communication of these efforts is an integral component of this responsibility.

The Specialist, IT Data Analyst is expected to foster collaboration in an environment that rewards the inclusion of and respect for team members in IT and across the Agency. Overall, the Specialist, IT Data Analyst is expected to participate in the collective efforts in moving the IT Business Solutions Department and the Agency from good to great as deemed necessary.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop and execute efficient data management processes with the objective to improve the overall state of data on the Agency’s donor facing and/or back office systems. Develop, implement, and perform work with minimal detectable errors. 35%
  • Manage and work hand-in-hand with other IT professionals providing recommendations for enhancements to further improve the state of data on the systems. 10%
  • Execute data overlay strategies into the system. 5%
  • Manage and Produce efforts for output files for business partners. This work may include selecting or modifying efforts and/or output files to target specific constituent audiences, producing, validating, and correcting data files, and delivering them to business partners. 30%
  • Work to deliver KPIs on system data for benchmarking and reporting. 5%
  • Troubleshoot problems. 10%
  • Mentor Coordinator and/or Specialist Data Analysts. 5%
Educational Background: 
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • You have a minimum 3-5 years' experience in area of expertise
  • Experience analyzing data, documenting issues, and compiling business information with knowledge of industry standard tools (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access).
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to multi-task, organize workloads and projects, and possess disciplined time-management skills. Candidate should also have the ability to adapt to changing priorities quickly.
