Specialist, Digital Technical Analytics

The Specialist, Technical Analytics will join the Digital Analytics team and be responsible for leveraging digital analytics data to deliver insights to stakeholders in the Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising Division. The Specialist, Technical Analytics will oversee the Adobe Analytics implementation for the web site, SavetheChildren.org. The Specialist will manage the architecture, implementation, testing, and documentation of analytics tagging for existing and new features and functionality.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Implement new tagging requirements through Adobe’s Digital Tag Management (DTM) and marketing pixels through Google’s Google Tag Manager (GTM); partner with IT to implement new data layer requirements (30%)
  • Conduct quality assurance or validation of new analytics requirements and periodic regression testing of existing requirements using various tools; leverage reports and alerts for additional monitoring and testing (20%)
  • Partner with the Specialist, Digital Analytics to define new technical tagging requirements for new functionality and campaigns based on reporting requirements (15%)
  • Troubleshoot reporting anomalies and escalate bug fixes to Digital Analytics team and IT (15%)
  • Maintain analytics documentation and archive SDR, data layer documentation, test scripts, and others) (15%)
  • Perform all other duties pertaining to the role (5%)
Educational Background: 
 Bachelor Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  •  3-5 years of experience in Digital Analytics, JavaScript development, or similar technical role
  •  Strong hands-on experience implementing tags through tag management solutions, either Adobe’s Dynamic Tag Management (DTM), Google Tag Manager (GTM), or Tealium
  •  Working knowledge of analytics suites and associated variables and events, either Adobe Analytics Reporting, Google Analytics, or Coremetrics
  • Working knowledge of Javascript and HTML
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, “self-starter” environment
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Team-player with excellent relationship-building
  • Ability to work under pressure on a number of competing tasks.
  • Energetic, organized, creative professional who can work independently and as a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with migrating an Analytics implementation to the new Adobe tag manager, Launch
  • Experience with other products from the Adobe suite including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Target
  • Experience with Observepoint or other automated testing solutions
