Programmer/Analyst (Senior Specialist)

The Senior Specialist, Programmer Analyst is responsible for planning, analysis, design, development, configuration, implementation and documentation of multiple 3rd party and custom applications. These applications include CRM, Fundraising, Sponsorship, Finance, and technology solutions that supports delivering worldwide programs. This position requires a breadth of application development knowledge, including experience in .Net stack and Azure services. The Senior Specialist, Programmer Analyst is expected to foster collaboration in an environment that rewards inclusion and respect for team members in IT and across the Agency.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Development of applications using C#/VB.Net, UWP and other .Net development tools for complex business needs - 40%
  • Systems analysis and solution design for application(s); perform other duties as may be required - 20%
  • Lead design sessions with staff on specific functions and/or solutions, provide input into requirements as well as into project plan with development tasks and time estimates, mentor Specialist developers and create program specifications for junior developers - 20%
  • Deliver code with minimal detectable bugs, troubleshoot problems, and manage multiple code releases in a source control system - 20%
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant years of experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming
  • Proficient in C#, Visual Studio, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework
  • Experience using VST, Devops or GIT and in T-SQL 
  • Knowledgeable in UWP, WPF or XAML
  • Familiar with Azure Event Grid, Azure Logic apps and Azure Data factory
  • Strong experience with various System Development Life cycles (SDLC), leading Agile or standard waterful initiatives, and leading scrum meetings
  • Strong interpersonal skills to augment a close working relationship with the business teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within tight timelines, strong organizational skills
  • Must be self-directed and results-driven with a strong customer focus
