Manager, Sponsorship Direct Response Marketing

Reporting to the Associate Director, Acquisition Marketing, Global Sponsorship, this person will be responsible for managing all aspects of Sponsorship acquisition direct response marketing campaigns. This includes regularly creating and analyzing results, logistics related to data and outside lists, working to ensure that all creative packages are accurate, executed in a timely manner, and that we are utilizing best operational practices. This person will also manage campaign budgets, write data processing instructions, and coordinate execution of letter shop instructions for all Sponsorship acquisition campaigns with vendors.

The overall goal is to manage the execution of campaigns across direct response channels to ensure all efforts run successfully.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Campaign Management (40%)

  • Manage execution of direct mail campaigns from ideation to completion working with printers, creative agencies and data processors
  • Work as main point of contact with vendors and internal stakeholders to produce creative elements including oversight of internal creative and legal approval processes and final production to letter shop ensuring accurate coding and guidelines
  • Manage house file matrix, code and tracking setup of appeals and data requests to our IT department
  • Manage merge/purge and lettershop instructions
  • Ensure all data processing and scheduling of campaigns is executed successfully and accurately with high operational performance and efficient agency interdepartmental collaboration
  • Coordinate mailing and multi-channel elements as needed (PO Boxes, postage, SMS, vanity URLs, etc.)

Campaign Analysis and Evaluation (30%)

  • Monitor campaign performance and report out on results ensuring Key Performance Indicators are met
  • Provide strategic recommendations for campaigns based on results and LTV reporting

Strategy and Planning (15%)

  • Work with the Director and Associate Director to develop marketing strategies to help continue the growth and success of campaigns based on past trends, opportunities for improvement, LTV and peer comparisons
  • Partner with Sponsorship Acquisition team and other internal stakeholders to ensure cross functional collaboration amongst all direct response campaigns

Budget (10%)

  • Manage budget and expenses for all campaigns
  • Receive code and facilitate processing for all invoices related to campaigns
  • Report budget updates to key stakeholders

Support on other projects as needed (5%)

Educational Background: 
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience: 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ business experience
  • Experience managing various vendors, including print, lettershop, merge/purge, and creative agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure on a number of competing tasks
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous non-profit experience
  • Previous direct mail experience
