The Manager, Employee Engagement will be responsible for managing employee engagement for our corporate partners, which includes a menu of existing and in-development employee engagement offerings. This person will be responsible for meeting a fundraising goal established by the department. This position will also lead in the development of new employee engagement offerings and packages to enable the Corporate Partnerships Team to maximize revenue and provide the level of service to our partners that they need and expect.

The overall goal of the Manager, Employee Engagement is best in class stewardship to increase revenue and generate new business by leading in the creation, promotion and implementation of employee engagement activities for current and prospective corporate partners who are led by others on the team.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Portfolio Management (35%): Manage and grow employee engagement by creating and developing existing and new revenue-generating activities. Leverage existing engagement programs to position Save the Children as a “charity of choice” for new fundraising opportunities. Manage the day to day activity of new and developing offerings – coordinating among a varied group of internal and external stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Events & Account Support (30%): Play a role in partner solicitation by providing internal support to Corporate Team Account and New Business Managers through Employee Engagement specific proposal elements and post-event assets/reporting. Represent Save the Children at select corporate employee engagement events as well as make presentations to new donors as approved by supervisor. Participate in and travel to select events (partner facing, conferences) to facilitate, support or promote Save the Children’s work in this space.
  • Marketing & Sales (20%): Promote and build awareness of Save the Children’s employee engagement offerings by championing the Employee Engagement offerings to Corporate Team colleagues (both Account Management and New Business) and creating an understanding of and enthusiasm for how the function can grow partnerships. Partner with the New Business team to develop and deliver a targeted outreach strategy to solicit and secure new corporate partners for employee engagement. Maintain and develop marketing materials and baseline collateral (e.g., brochures, PowerPoint slides) for employee engagement activities that can be easily customized for partners.
  • Department Support & Other (15%): Oversee administrative follow-up and reporting to deliver defined results related to employee engagement activities. Handle daily department duties related to managing current data inputting and pipeline documents. Support on other New Business and related CRM research, projects and priorities as needed. Perform other job duties as may be assigned.
Educational Background: 
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 3-5 years' progressively responsible professional work experience in fundraising, project management, marketing, sales, media or advertising
  • Background with not-profit organizations, with emphasis on client-facing experience desirable
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Extremely client focused with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in ambiguous, highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to problem-solve and drive projects through to completion
  • Up to 15% travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with volunteer facilitation and/or engagement programs
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management databases or Blackbaud
