Manager, Corporate Partnerships

The primary purpose of this position is to manage a portfolio of corporate partners who contribute through Workplace Giving and emergency response, which are key agency streams for undesignated support. As a key contributing member of the Corporate Partnerships team, this person will enable the agency to provide the level of service to our partners that they need and expect, as well as to manage and organize the information generated by these programs internally.

This role is responsible for supporting, managing, and growing a set of assigned partnerships in order to reach department revenue goals. In close collaboration with the post’s supervisor, this person will serve as the strategic lead for corporate matching gifts and coordinate emergency outreach and communications on behalf of the team. Strong performance in this area will provide significant financial benefit to the team and agency’s operations as a whole.

The Manager will serve as a direct liaison to select corporations and be responsible for coordinating with the Manager, Employee Engagement to identify linkages between employee engagement and employee giving and for maximizing existing partnership opportunities. S/he will be responsible for helping to meet the funding needs established by the department & the organization and serve as a program knowledge resource to the team.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Account & Program Management (75%): Manage and grow portfolio of corporate partners who contribute through workplace giving and emergency response. Position Save the Children as a “charity of choice” for employee giving campaigns. Grow and manage emergency response funding channels through custom microsites, corporate grants/contributions and Matching Gift incentives. Leverage Corporate Matching Gifts and Engagement (volunteer activity) programs for new fundraising opportunities. This will include: research, completing applications and proposals, soliciting partners, internal coordination, event management, and administrative follow-up and reporting.
  • Marketing & Sales (10%): Promote and build awareness of Save the Children’s Employee Giving and Emergency Giving programs by motivating corporate personnel to create internal enthusiasm. Working alongside supervisor, develop and deliver a targeted outreach strategy with compelling presentations to solicit and secure corporate partners for employee giving and emergency relief opportunities.
  • Events (5%): Work with corporate and Global Impact contacts to expand Save the Children’s presence at events. Generate invitations to new giving events and opportunities that directly benefit Save the Children without going through a third party. Represent Save the Children at current corporate employee giving and engagement events, and interact with potential employee giving donors, as well make presentations to new donors as approved by supervisor.
  • Department Support (5%): Support the department in daily duties related to managing current partners, such as: brainstorms, concept note and proposal development, and inputting information into databases and pipeline documents. Play a supporting role in larger and complex partnerships, which will be led by others.
  • Special Projects (5%): Contribute towards the implementation of the Corporate Unit’s strategic plans as required and assigned by the Director and AVP.
Educational Background: 
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in fundraising, project management, marketing, sales, media or advertising
  • Professional level of specialized knowledge to manage complex tasks, programs or projects.
  • Fluency in English

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Background in not-for-profit organizations, with emphasis on client facing experience

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office package
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management databases or Blackbaud
  • Experience with volunteer facilitation and/or workplace giving programs
  • Passion and commitment to Save the Children’s mission and values
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Understanding of corporate priorities
