The Coordinator, Sponsor Experience & Retention will assist the Associate Director with managing the sponsorship communication stream to ensure a strong sponsorship experience and increase retention and lifetime value for approx. 80,000 child sponsors. This role will help execute retention campaigns with support of the Coordinator, Sustainer Communications and in partnership with the Associate Director (AD), from inception to completion. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining strong partnerships across the agency in order to see campaigns through to completion.
Retention Campaign Execution (70%)
- Responsible for coordinating day-to-day tasks related to all multi-channel retention campaigns to retain and engage sponsors including welcome stream, financial mailings, annual mailings, periodic surveys, mobile messages, emails and other communications
- Functional tasks include – but not limited to – setting up and supporting campaign meetings, meeting notes, overseeing schedules, submitting tracker requests, proof reading, content management and fact & quality checking to ensure on-time and accurate execution for all campaigns
- Support AD on creative, content, data and production for Annual Status Report with versions for 20+ countries
- Support deployment of multi-channel delinquency treatment stream for both sponsor and undesignated sustainers by managing vendor relationships, ensuring all data components are available and complete instructions on execution are adhered to, maintaining creative assets and providing marketing technical support as necessary
- Help develop and guide content needs for US sponsorship materials
- Responsible for keeping an organized system on the N: Drive/OneNet or similar platforms for easy access to all sponsorship related items such as pdfs, meeting notes, strategy documents and design and art files
Country Office Content Support (20%)
- Request, edit and share with Member offices phase-out communications that are donor-centric and help engage sponsors during a vulnerable moment in their experience
- In partnership with Manager of Content & Capacity Building, work with freelance writer to edit Country Office blogs to make them donor-centric and SEO-friendly
- Assist Sponsorship Storyteller with producing quarterly sponsorship content newsletter
Financial Accountability & Performance Analysis (5%):
- Submit timely and accurate invoices from vendors
- Support monthly budget reconciliation for both sustainer programs
- Input data into retention specific campaign dashboards to track performance
Other Activities (5%):
- Coordinate data files necessary for retention activities (planning of streams, one-off requests)
- Assist on larger sustainer team projects as needed
- You have a minimum 2-3 years' experience in relevant work in non-profit, marketing, communications, storytelling or other related fields
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and processes
- Demonstrated ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and organizes self to get things done and meet deadlines
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Can effectively maintain relationships with internal teams and vendors
- Independent problem-solver and decision-maker on significant matters related to functional areas
- Learned level skills to support tasks
- Learned skills in Microsoft PC applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
