The Coordinator supports operational effectiveness and training for the Grants & Contracts Policy & Compliance team. This position will work closely with Information Technology and Save the Children International to ensure that award systems (AMS & Agresso) support compliance and will monitor these systems to ensure data quality. The Coordinator will support the Grants & Contracts training framework and will contribute to the development of training resources for the Award Management System (AMS) and the Awards Administration module of Agresso.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Compliance Systems (25%)
- Provide input for and deliver trainings on the Financial Management System (Agresso) and the Award Management System (AMS) to agency stakeholders
- Provide backstopping support for AMS Helpdesk
- Provide backstopping support for drafting of award records in financial system (Agresso)
- Training & Capacity Building (40%)
- Support the development of standard tools, templates, and frameworks for G&C team to employ for compliance and P&P trainings
- Data Quality & Monitoring (25%)
- Monitor award compliance data to ensure accuracy
- Support creation of quarterly award compliance risk dashboard
- Operational Effectiveness (10%)
- Support the creation and roll out of policies and procedures that support high quality award compliance
- Manage day-to-day G&C knowledge management activities
Educational Background:
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience:
Required Qualifications (revise as needed)
- You have a minimum 2-3 years' experience in area of expertise
- You have learned knowledge and technical skills to support semi-complex tasks
- You have a professional level of specialized knowledge, technical/functional skills and attention to detail to manage complex tasks, programs or projects
- Ability to prioritize workload and multitask in a high-paced, demanding environment
- Ability to train staff on complex concepts; distill information to make it more digestible
- Experience analyzing data
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 5% of the time (US and international)
- Can-do attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as required
- Sense of humor
Preferred Qualifications
- You have 3+ years’ experience in area of expertise
- You have a college/ advanced degree in related area (business, international relations, training and development)
- Experience with US Government rules & regulations
