The Individual Philanthropy Group (IPG) works directly with high net-worth individuals to secure major ($10K and above) and planned gifts to support Save the Children’s programs in the U.S. and around the world. The IPG team focuses on cultivating personal relationships with these high-value supporters. By maintaining the integrity of our donor database, Blackbaud Enterprise CRM, we ensure our internal and external reporting mechanisms and donor data collection systems are consistent and accurate information at all times, enabling our frontline fundraisers to effectively cultivate and steward donor relationships.

This role will report to the Manager, Data Analyst and support short and long-term project development and implementation. This position will support a team of 20 major donor fundraisers, including our planned giving team and Board of Trustees Liaison, and other team members that require data management solutions

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Maintain IPG Donor Database: Enforce business rules for effective data management for our donor database. Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data. Implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis. Revise business rules and procedures for data sharing within Resource Development. Support others in IPG in daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to established business rules and procedures. Assist with database analysis for growing planned giving program. Assist with reports and data extraction when needed. (40%)
  • RD Prospect Management System: Coordinates record management including: reports, mailings, and other needs related to all special events, appeals, planned givers, and research using our donor database in order to help achieve IPG annual revenue goals. Support in maintaining revenue pipeline data by ensuring data accuracy of data entered into the system. Assists Manager, Prospect Management and Associate Director, Development Operations, on reporting and analysis for IPG fundraisers related to planning, recording and reporting of significant moments in the relationship between prospective donors and Save the Children. (25%)
  • Board of Trustees CRM Support: Work with our board liaison to ensure stewardship documentation is captured, along with maintaining board records with most up to date information, and providing board giving reports to Senior Management. Will work with board liaison to ensure timely entry of revenue related opportunities, prospect management responsibilities, and related stewardship responsibilities. (20%)
  • Stewardship Team Support: During peak fundraising (emergencies, major events, and year-end fundraising) this position will support the stewardship team with data and supporting revenue information to ensure timely acknowledgement of high value donors. (10%)
  • Continuous Improvement and Special Projects: Assist CI Projects that effect RD. Communicate with essential parties effected by CI projects. Work with Manager, Prospect Management and Associate Director, Development Operations on special projects where high value donors coding and or communication preferences are a priority. Perform other duties as may be required. (5%)
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • You have a minimum 2-3 years' experience in area of expertise
  • High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
  • Understanding of how to create organized, clear reports, with emphasis on data maintenance.
  • Technical expertise required in Blackbaud Enterprise CRM, or related Blackbaud donor management CRM suite
  • Project management skills, including planning and multi-tasking
  • Strong analytical skills, and demonstrates a willingness to provide out fof the box solutions for data maintenance needs
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across RD team members and departmental boundaries to achieve shared organizational goals.
