Coordinator, Centennial Campaign

The Centennial Team is focused on securing an incremental $100M by 2019, leading and/or supporting the cultivation of major donors and prospects.  The Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring the fast-paced team runs smoothly. This position will provide all necessary administrative support to the Executive Director and Associate Vice President of the campaign.  They will assist on a variety of responsibilities across the department and assist on special projects as needed. This position is expected to be funded through mid-2020, with the potential for additional funding.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide assistance to the Executive Director and Associate Vice President of the Centennial Campaign in organizing and executing various administrative functions including (35%): 

  • Manage calendar in a dynamic and ever-changing environment; ensuring accuracy, timeliness and strong communication.
  • Prepare donor materials as requested, including but not limited to: mail merges, printing and binding donor materials, submitting tracker requests, and perform other various duties as needed.
  • Assist with development of materials for senior management meetings, donor meetings and additional high value meetings as needed; draft presentations as required.
  • Manage travel and conference arrangements, and expense reimbursements.
  • Maintain and monitor monthly budget reconciliations, coordinating with Accounts Payable in Finance.
    • Liaison between Centennial Team and the Goal and Performance Management Unit within Resource Development to manage expense inquiries, obtain/confirm revenue and expense codes, reporting of results, among other administrative duties.

Provide administrative assistance to the Centennial team as a whole (45%):

  • Manage gift processing and tracking; be the point person for Gift Processing in Finance.
  • Support the campaign donor acknowledgement process and updating communications in BBEC records
  • Support logistics for centennial related events, specifically those related to ONE HUNDRED STRONG, Save the Children’s women’s philanthropic circle
  • Coordinate team meetings; managing agendas, and all supporting materials, including logistics and follow-up on action items.
  • Manage team inventory including but not limited to, supplies and fundraising materials; must be able to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate and streamline day-to-day operations through effective communication and knowledge management strategies with internal stakeholders across the agency (15%):

  • Coordinate donor mailings/email campaign using online marketing platforms
  • Network and collaborate with peers across Resource Development and Marketing, Communications and Fundraising.
  • Perform other job duties as required.

Educational Background: 
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2-3 years of experience in a fundraising environment preferred
  • Highly-efficient administrator with strong time management skills
  • Ability to self-organize, set priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and flexibility to shift priorities as needed
  • Professional manner and appearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in area of expertise  
  • Experience with donor databases is preferred
  • College/ advanced degree in related area (communications, monitoring & evaluating, global health, international development, etc.)
