The Benefits Coordinator administers and communicates the agency's benefits program in regard to plan options, policy features, enrollment and other requirements. Surveys market data in order to determine agency’s competitive position in employee benefits. May assist in planning, developing, and redesigning company benefits programs and analyzing benefit costs. May be involved with communication and implementation of wellness and health education initiatives. Provides coordination and analytical support to the benefits team including the preparation, production, and distribution of benefits related reports and presentations, HRIS input, benefits communications, vendor billing, maintenance of benefits data, records and files, and other support activities as needed.
- Administer benefit related data feeds and wire transfers to benefits providers. Coordinate all new enrollee benefit documents to ensure efficient enrollment and processes. Data entry into Ceridian to include new hires, unpaid leaves, FMLA and disability. Conducts benefit audits after each payroll run. (50%)
- Coordinate invoice / billing inventory tracking and administration system for all benefits related bills. Provide setup and on-going administration to ensure timely processing and payments. Includes all payments to all health and welfare providers, retirement plans, subscriptions, and memberships. (20%)
- Provide high level administrative support for new hires, transfers, promotions. Maintain electronic files for benefits/compensation related information. (20%)
- Create ad hoc & project related reports as needed. (10%)
- Participates in benefit surveys, monitoring progress of existing surveys as well as seeks out new surveys and sources of benefits information. Keep abreast of market trends and issues.
- Provide customer service support for Compensation & Benefits Team by responding to questions.
- Assist in providing input to their function’s strategic and operational plan

- You have a minimum 2-3 years' experience in area of expertise
- You have learned knowledge and technical skills to support semi-complex tasks
- You have a professional level of specialized knowledge, technical/functional skills and attention to detail to manage complex tasks, programs or projects

- Experience with HRIS systems with Payroll and HR, Ceridian or UltiPro experience preferred
- Ability to use advanced data and report-generating software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, COGNOS, Crystal Reports).
